Session
Recovery week
Unhurried sessions for the week your mileage drops.
Many plans cut mileage every few weeks. A recovery-week session matches that: slower, and at lighter pressure unless you ask for more. It suits the 75-minute length, with time to settle.

What happens
In the room
- 01
Step 1: Check-in
You say what your plan looks like this week and what you would like to do with the time.
- 02
Step 2: Settle
You get on the table under the sheet while your therapist is out of the room.
- 03
Step 3: Work
Slower strokes through the legs, hips and back, with the pace and pressure yours to change.
- 04
Step 4: Finish
You dress at your own pace, and the desk books the next session around your plan.
Good to know
Pressure, cover and what to bring
Pressure
You set the pressure before the session, and your therapist checks it partway through. Say lighter or firmer at any time.
Draping
You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole session. Only the area being worked is uncovered.
Ask your doctor first
If you have a health condition, are pregnant or are recovering from surgery or an injury, ask your doctor whether massage is right for you before you book.
What to wear and bring
Come in what you ran in. Undress to the level you are comfortable with, and bring shoes that slip on and off.
Questions about this session
What is a recovery week?
It is the week in a training plan where mileage drops. If you are not sure whether you are in one, say what you ran and we will ask the rest.
Is it only for runners?
No. Anyone who trains for an event, or just trains, can book it.
Can I bring my plan?
Yes. A printed or phone copy helps your therapist match the sessions to it.
